In October 2024, we hosted two engaging EELs events at Fagskolen Rogaland in Stavanger. The two-day program was designed to inspire educators and students to embrace creativity and entrepreneurship while equipping them with practical tools and strategies for success.
Day 1: Introduction to Entrepreneurship and Creativity (1 October 2024)
Participants explored the foundations of entrepreneurship and creativity through a dynamic schedule that included:
A warm welcome speech and icebreaker activities.
An overview of the EELs program and its objectives.
An interactive presentation on entrepreneurship and creativity.
Group reflections on challenges and potential solutions.
A workshop on creative thinking techniques, including design thinking.
Problem-solving activities in small groups.
Practical training for teachers on using tools such as the Digital Hub and 3D printers.
Teachers practicing mini-sessions to hone their facilitation skills.
Informal networking between teachers and young participants.
Action plan development for teachers, supported by coaching and guidance to refine ideas.
Day 2: Application and Development of Entrepreneurial Competencies (2 October 2024)
The focus shifted to applying the skills learned on day one, with sessions that emphasized collaboration and practical problem-solving:
A recap of day one and an energetic start to the day.
Group projects to develop entrepreneurial solutions using available resources, like 3D printers.
Teachers supporting and guiding participants through the process.
An introduction to pitching and practice presentations of group solutions.
Feedback sessions from peers and mentors.
A demonstration of the Digital Hub and other resources for continued learning.
Interactive Q&A with educators and facilitators.
Individual and group reflections on the learning experience.
Closing remarks outlining next steps and goals for future initiatives.
Final networking opportunities for participants to share insights and foster collaborations.
Key Highlights from Participant Feedback:
95% of attendees were either "very satisfied" or "satisfied" with the event.
100% were satisfied with the activities and gained a clear understanding of the EELs project's importance in entrepreneurship education.
92% expressed interest in using EELs resources in their classes or recommending them to colleagues.
These events showcased the transformative power of entrepreneurship education, leaving educators and learners inspired and equipped to implement innovative practices in their communities.
